Since 2016, the Lafayette Aviators play their games in Loeb Stadium, which is located in Columbian Park. They play in the Prospect League.

Before 2016, the franchise was the Jamestown Jammers from Jamestown, NY. A new Jammers franchise was formed after the existing team moved to Indiana.

Loeb Stadium seats 3,500 and opened in 1940. Affiliated minor league baseball first arrived in 1955 with the Lafayette Chiefs (D-Indians).

In 1956 and 1957, the team was known as the Lafayette Red Sox (D-Red Sox). In 1958 the team moved to Iowa and became the Waterloo Hawks, and they are now the Lansing Lugnuts in Michigan.
