For three years, the GRC Rallycross group set up a part dirt, part paved temporary track in the parking lot of Robert F. Kennedy Stadium in the nation's capital.

This was the second track in this parking lot. In 2002 the American LeMans Series and the TransAm Series raced in the first and last annual "National Grand Prix" here.

Inside the stadium, USAC Midget races were held on a quarter mile dirt oval in 1973.

Besides the three tracks at the RFK Stadium facility, auto racing in the District of Columbia is pretty hard to come by.

Before the races at three RFK Stadium tracks, the last auto race in DC was an indoor race at the Uline Arena on November 21, 1950.
