![]() Hendry County Motorsports Park calls itself "The Southern Most Dirt Track in the USA." There are a couple of tracks in Texas that could rightly dispute that claim. |
![]() The track is technically in Whidden Corner but just about everyone refers to it as being in Clewiston, the largest nearby town. |
![]() Hendry County Motorsports Park has gone through several name changes. The track has also been called Sugarland Raceway Park, County Line Speedway, and Clewiston Speedway. |
![]() The track is very close to Lake Okeechobee in the Everglades, and closes during the rainy season when evening thunderstorms are an almost daily occurrence. |

Comments: Lorenzo Racing: Black water Hattie lived back in the swamp. Where the strange green reptiles crawl. Snakes hang thick from the cypress trees. Like sausage on a smokehouse wall. Will White: I guess they never heard of Hawaii (farther south with dirt tracks). Ronald Klose: Never let the truth get in the way of a catchy marketing slogan! |
