Ocala Motor Speedway opened as a quarter mile dirt oval late in 1952. It remained a quarter mile through the 1963 season. |
From 1964-1995 it was enlarged to a 3/8 mile dirt oval. |
The first three photos on this page was from my first visit to the track, in 1983, to see the All Star Circuit of Champions Late Models. |
After spending over a decade as a paved track from 1996-2007, the track returned to dirt in 2008. The last three photos are from a 2011 visit. |
Besides Ocala Speedway and the current Bubba's Raceway Park name, the track has also been known as Lightning Speedway, Marion County Speedway, and Zuber Speedway. |
A track has been operating at this location for over 65 years, making it the longest continuously operating facility in Florida. |
