The Grundy County Speedway is located at the Grundy County Fairgrounds in Morris. For 66 years, until 1971, the Grundy County Fairgrounds was located in Mazon.

The .345 mile paved oval was built at the new fairgrounds and opened that first year of 1971. Note that at this track, the majority of the spectators sit near the bottom, which indicates great sight lines.

Racing at the Grundy County Fairgrounds dates all the way back to 1917 at the Mazon Speed Bowl which was located at the old fairgrounds.

Stock cars headline the Friday night shows. Drivers like Bobby Allison, Dale Earnhardt, Tony Stewart, Mark Martin, and Ryan Newman have all raced there.
