Oxford Plains Speedway is famous for its paved oval, but figure-8 racing has been an important part of the track history.

The original F8 track operated from 1969-1988 and was a larger, permanent track that incorporated the frontstretch of the oval. You can see the back half of the track in this picture. The pit lane wall prevents it from current use as a figure-8 track.

The current F8 track is a temporary course and stays on the front side of the pit wall, using the pit lane and the frontstretch of the oval.

Using this smaller track, figure-8 stock car racing returned to Oxford Plains after more than 25 years.
