 One of the few ice racing locations in the Lower Peninsula of Michigan is Chippewa Lake. |

 The races there are sanctioned by MIRA, the Michigan Ice Racing Association. |

 From 2010-2015, Chippewa Lake was the only location where MIRA raced. Before that they raced at Hess Lake and at Lake Missaukee in addition to Chippewa Lake. |

 The club did not race in 2016 or 2017 due to mild winters, and cancelled their 2018 season for financial reasons. |
