Photographs from the Ed Esser collection and contributed to Roaming the Raceways by his son Lee Esser and Tim Frost of National Speedway Directory to share in Ed's memory.

The North Branch Lions Field is also known as the North Branch Lions Club Grounds.

Racing began there in 2005 on a figure-8 track.

These Ed Esser pictures are from a 2006 visit. Will White's Auto Racing Records site has the track listed as a road course, Allan Brown's History of America's Speedways book mentions only figure-8 racing as having taken place that year, but the pictures seem to indicate it might be an off-road oval.

Lions Club International is a secular, non political service organization established in 1916. There are over 46,000 local clubs doing good works in their communities and elsewhere.
