 Summit Lake is a small lake located northeast of Summit Village. |
|
 It is one of about ten or so lakes in New York where the AMEC group has organized ice racing during January and February during the past 25 years. |
|
 AMEC stands for Adirondack Motor Enthusiast Club. They, along with defunct or inactive groups like NYSIRA, CNYIRA, and briefly FLIR, have been sanctioning ice racing in the state for decades. |

 Summit Lake was one that we could both park on and watch from the land. |
