Put-In-Bay is locate on South Bass Island, on Lake Erie.

The races are held on the runways at the local airport.

The water in the background of the small island makes a beautiful backdrop for the race cars.

Using the runways makes for some long straights and tight turns.

The race commemorates the original Put-In-Bay road races, held between 1952 and 1963 on a 3.1 mile street circuit. Engraved rocks mark each corner of the original course.

Comments:

Marty Reilly: I live right by there Guy. It is very beautiful. Never been to the race Guy. I'll have to put in on my schedule.

Bob Bachman: Never been to the race, just the bars.

Linda Leese Geringer: Took a boat to Put-in-Bay years ago but didn't have much time to check out the island.
