This is what is sometimes referred to as the "new" Oklahoma State Fairgrounds. The "old" state fairgrounds also had auto racing, from 1913-1954.

Racing began at the "new" state fairgrounds on May Avenue in 1954. Both a half-mile and a quarter mile track operated there until 2001.

Both tracks were often used during a single event. These are Six Cylinder Supermodifieds racing on the smaller track as a support class for the CRA Sprint Cars that raced on the big track that day.

In 2002, the half-mile was shortened to a 3/8th mile track. Racing continued on the shortened track through 2009. At that time racing ended, and the grandstands were condemmed and torn down in 2010.
