The Latrobe Speedway dates back to the 1960's. It replaced the nearby Greater Latrobe Speedway, which had closed at the end of 1965.

At one time it was also known as Schmuckers Speedway. The track was a short half-mile, certified by ARR as .465.

Latrobe Speedway closed at the end of the 1981 season, and was closed for 18 years before reopening for another run of stock car racing from 2000-2006.

The track is still there but no longer hosts stock car racing. Motorcycles and quads are featured on an infield motocross track.

This picture is from the earlier era of the speedway. I stopped by on a Sunday race night but only got the chance to look at the track, my travel partner having to be home for work on Sunday night.
