 Racing at the New Reading Fairgrounds began with a figure-8 race in 2004. The following year the permanent oval track was added. |

 This is the third Reading Fairgrounds to have auto racing. The original fairgrounds on 11th street had racing c1909. The one on the 5th Street Highway had racing from 1924 - 1979. |

 Four Cylinder Stock Cars, Micro Sprints, and Slingshots are the top classes that race on the track during fair week. |

 The historical society continues to make improvements to the track. At one point the track was enlarged for more and better racing variety. In this picture, you can see the new guardrail that replaced the Jersey barriers shown in the first few shots. |
