The Carbon County Fair is located in Palmerton. At one time, the fairgrounds were in Lehighton.

The motorsports arena has nice seating, but the track is just a temporary oval set up in the same location where they have demolition derbies and tractor pulls. There has also been a temporary track for figure-8 stock car racing in the past. The oval track has been measured by ARR at just .080 miles.

There was also a race track at the fairgrounds when it was in Lehighton. That track was a half-mile, and the final race there was in 1987. A high school replaced the fairgrounds, and the fair moved to a different location within Carbon County.

Racing is only held during the annual fair. 2016 was the first year that stock cars raced on an oval, but Quarter Midgets had raced at the site previously, and stock cars raced on the figure-8 track dating back to 1994.
