 The Nesquehoning Grand Prix was a one-time only event. |

 Admission was free and a large crowd turned out on a beautiful late April afternoon to see the single division race meet. |

 The race was held to benefit the Sonny Kovatch Scholarship Foundation. Over $60,000 was raised as many sponsors stepped up to support the event. |

 The sitting governer of the state of Pennsylvania was on hand to drop the green and checkered flag for the feature race. |

 Simon Egan won the main event over a field that included Mike McLaughlin, Kyle Lick Billy Pauch Jr., and Craig Von Dohren. |
