 The mud races were a fundraiser for the Show Shoe Volunteer Fire Company. |

 There is a larger track for the truck races, but the trucks race only in a one-on-one format. You can easily see the outer course in this photo. |

 The cars raced on a smaller oval inside the larger off road course for the trucks. |

 The cars raced wheel-to-wheel in a pair of heats and a feature race. |

 The oval track for the cars was pretty wet too. There was plenty of mud to go around. |
