The Natural Bridge Speedway has been operating for more than 50 years.

The race track is named after the town where it is located. The town is named after the Natural Bridge, a gorge and National Historic Landmark.

Even the county where the track is located, Rockbridge County, is named after the gorge.

Besides the dirt oval, the facility also includes a paved drag strip. You can see the drag strip in the distant background of the two photos above. The two tracks often both operate at the same time.
