 Devil's Bowl Speedway is a track that can't make up its mind between dirt and asphalt. |

 It opened in 1967 as a dirt track. After four years, it was paved. |
|
 Just two years into the initial paved track era, the track was returned to dirt for a long stretch, from 1973 to 2009. These pictures are from that second dirt track era. |

 The third surface switch came in 2010, when the track returned to asphalt for the second time. In 2018, the surface was changed a fourth time, to the third stint as a dirt track. In addition to the four surface switches on the main track, during the second asphalt era a separate dirt track operated in the infield from 2014-2017. |
